Black Tie Weddings are our favorite - especially when they are at beautiful country clubs like the Palm Event Center in the Vineyard.
A few years ago, we had the opportunity to shoot a stunning black tie ceremony and reception for an even more stunning couple - Majileen and Berremy. The ceremony took place at the gorgeous St. Raymond Catholic Church in Dublin, right outside of the bay area. Majileen chose beautiful royal blue robes for her bridesmaids to offset her soft, shiny gold, and we had a lot of fun getting shots of the girls getting ready for her big day. Majileen carries a peaceful, majestic look about her, as you can tell from this shot of her sitting tranquilly as her mom fastens the necklace to complement her stunning white and gold laced dress.
Berremy’s Golden State Warriors cufflinks were on point with his dark navy blue suit and black tie finish, giving him the perfect “urban, high class” look.
Perhaps our favorite shots of the day were when Majileen stood like a queen at the beginning of the aisle, waiting for her mother and father to escort her to her king. Watching her and her mom tear up at the same time as they made the journey towards Berremy was special - it’s always a beautiful thing when a bride’s parents are just as excited about her significant other as she is.
After the ceremony, we took some time to get some fun shots with the bridal parties, with Berremy’s crew doing their best explosions while Majileen’s girls pulled off a shot that looked like the flamingo scene from Lion King. It’s always a blast when the bridal party is up for experimenting with different looks!
Over at the reception venue, the Palm Event Center, we took some intimate shots of the bride and groom. Majileen’s beautiful white dress stole the show as she opened the broad wooden doors of the wine room and out to the vineyard where we captured a steamy photo of the couple sharing a kiss under her light veil.
Despite the arid Northern California desert, the Palm Event Center maintains a scenic lawn and garden that is beautifully lush and perfectly colored for couple photos. The couple also pulled off some DIY magic with a pretty photo collage and a map of the world turned guest book. It was such a fun idea that showed how much love the couple would receive from literally around the world.
To complement the feel of the black tie wedding, the reception carried a 20’s theme - with an extravagant waterfall chandelier providing the centerpiece to a room decked out with gold and blue arrangements and sparkling glitter. We were able to catch a really cool black and white shot of Majileen and Berremy’s grand entrance from the cellar room, and the photo below of their shining grins absolutely captured the atmosphere of the whole night.
