James and Betty's Formal Summer Wedding at Carmel Valley Ranch

James and Betty are the perfect example of a couple truly and deeply in love. They giggle every time they look at one another, they whisper and share little jokes that only the two of them understand, and they’re constantly holding hands and cuddling. They got married this Summer at the stunning Carmel Valley Ranch golf club and resort during the perfect time to catch the lavender in bloom. James went all out with his formal coat and tails. He searched everywhere for a top hat, but it was a bit of a tough find. Bettys beautiful off the shoulder lace ballgown made her look elegant and royal. Everybody loves a black tie wedding!

After a very sweet first look with lots of tears from James, the couple walked down the aisle with a bridal party compiled of nearly 36 of their best friends. James' daughter performed the ceremony and did a fantastic job keeping everyone smiling while still speaking authentically to the love that her dad and Betty share. James’s sister sang a beautiful song in the shade of one of the large oak trees they were married under, bringing a tear to everyone’s eye. After lots of family portraits and some spic bridal portraits it was onto the party!

James and Betty are big music people and their reception was a rowdy show of lights, karaoke, and epic dance moves. They took a short break from the dancing to head out into the foggy Carmel evening to take some couples portraits at the iconic Carmel Valley Ranch swing, in the lavender, and amongst the winery vines. This couple was just as happy surrounded by friends and family as they were on their own enjoying each other‘s company. As long as they were together, they were completely overjoyed.
