There's nothing like glorious spring weather to really make your engagement photos pop. Between the San Francisco Botanical Gardens, the Japanese Tea Garden, and Stow Lake, there are no shortage of beautiful spaces to capture your portraits in San Francisco.
Cara and Darrin decided to use the lush green backdrop at Stow Lake for their engagement session. These two were all smiles as we wandered around the lake, taking photos at every possible location. It was clear from the beginning that the renewal energy of spring and the multitude of colors were in perfect complement to their bubbly and joyful attitude. It was fun, not just to take their photos, but to really get to know this couple throughout the session. These two had endured long distance in their relationship and were so excited to get married and be together permanently. Darrin, while soft-spoken, had no shortage of wonderful things to say about Cara. We even saw a few joyful tears fall as his words took hold in her heart. His sentiments were so authentic and loving.
After wandering all the way around Stow Lake together, they made an outfit change and we headed to the Sutro Baths. The cool neutral colors of the sea were in perfect juxtaposition of the bright floral at the lake. Cara's flowing maxi dress made her stand out against the blue-gray sky and gave their session a touch of elegance. Darrin was very nearly overwhelmed with how beautiful Cara looked and could barely take his eyes off her the entire shoot. After enduring a long distance relationship, it was clear that these two were overjoyed to be together again and have us capture the love they share. We wish them togetherness and love for the rest of their days. :)
